Getting started

How do I make my first drop?

Your first drop takes three short steps in the drop editor.

  1. Start a new drop.

On Drops (sign-in required), choose New drop (sign-in required). While setup is unfinished, Add your first drop on your setup checklist (sign-in required) does the same.

  2. Tell buyers about the piece.

Under The piece, name your drop, add a photo, tell its story, and set your price and how many are in this batch. Choose Continue.

  3. Set the window.

Under The window, choose when orders open and close, when orders go out, and how they get to buyers: shipping, local pickup, or both. Choose Continue.

  4. Take a last look.

Under A last look, check the details and what buyers will pay, tick the box to say you make these pieces by hand, then choose Publish drop, or Schedule drop if it opens later.

Not ready yet? Save as draft keeps everything for later; while your setup is unfinished, the same button reads Save draft & return to setup. If setup isn’t finished when you publish, Crafd keeps your drop as a draft and shows each step that’s left, with a link to it.
