How do tips work?
A buyer can add one optional tip to their order when you allow it.
- Choose whether to offer tips.
In Settings (sign-in required) → Payouts (sign-in required), switch Let buyers add a tip (sign-in required) on or off. It starts on for a new studio and saves as soon as you change it; wait for the message that starts Saved.
- What buyers can choose.
Checkout offers No tip, $2, $5, $10, or Custom from $1 to $200. The amount is for the whole order.
- See it on the order.
The receipt and order details list the tip separately. Crafd takes no fee from it; Stripe processing still applies to the payment.
Switching tips off changes future checkout attempts, and removes a tip from an open checkout when it is refreshed or submitted. Existing paid orders keep their recorded tip.
